Case Study – Swedish Equestrian Federation
Summarized
With this, the Swedish Equestrian Federation shows a perfect example of how organisations can use AI to strengthen co-creation. With Vocean, they were able to collect 1,000+ ideas from their ecosystem. They were able to engage their stakeholders and collaborate to solve the federation’s grand challenges. With the help of AI analysis, they were able to quickly gain insights and take action based on their findings.
About the Swedish equestrian federation
The Swedish Equestrian Federation is a specialised sports federation within the Swedish Sports Confederation, which brings together approx. 140,000 members and 800 affiliated riding clubs throughout Sweden. The association works to promote equestrian sports at all levels – from exercise and grassroots activities to elite and championships – while promoting issues of horse welfare and safe environments.
The need
The need at the Swedish Equestrian Federation was to create participation and commitment within the sport in connection with setting the direction for the organisation. Involving broadly and collecting ideas from many people often means heavy processes with a lot of administrative work. It was important to be able to work together in the organisation, learn from each other and quickly move from idea, to co-creation, to action.
How did it happen?
The need at the Swedish Equestrian Federation was to create participation and commitment within the sport in connection with setting the direction for the organisation. Involving broadly and gathering ideas from many people often means heavy processes with a lot of administrative work. It was important to be able to work together in the organisation, learn from each other and quickly move from idea, to co-creation, to action.
One example of process was to include Vocean’s three proposed workshop questions as part of the agenda of the Equestrian Forum conference. Here, Vocean was used as a workshop tool to co-create around the challenges identified and prioritise solutions together. This meant that at the end of the workshop, AI reports could be produced with solutions that could be directly fed back to the participants. They could also ask questions about the collected solutions, such as ‘What are the three most important things we can start working on today?’ and ‘What trends can we see?’.
The result
The process resulted in:
- AI reports and analyses that could be sent out at the end of the workshop
- An idea bank that can be used to make more informed decisions about the direction of the organisation
- A stronger relationship with members who can influence the direction of the organisation
